Ofsted Letter to Parents/Carers Sept 2018

Dear Parent and Carers

As we reach the end of the term, we would like to thank you for helping to achieve a very successful Spring term at School for Inspiring Talents.  The students have continued to grow, and progress has been a pleasure to see, and as always, our staff have worked tirelessly to achieve this.

We are extremely pleased to announce that, following our recent Ofsted inspection, we are now officially a GOOD school.  The report will be available on our website for you to read in the next two days; however, please see below quotes from the report:

Teaching is good.  Adults help pupils to persevere and concentrate on their learning in lessons.  Leaders ensure that there are effective procedures to continue to improve the quality of teaching.’

‘Pupils feel safe, and are kept safe, because they are well cared for.  Everyone is treated as an individual and given equal opportunity to do their best.’

‘Pupils’ attendance improves because of the support provided for families and because lessons are interesting.’

‘During their time at the school, all pupils develop improved attitudes to learning.  They enjoy taking part in practical activities, particularly in Science.  Teachers exploit this to engage pupils to be willing to earn, listen and take part in lessons and wider school activities.’

You can read the full report here.

We would like to thank all our parents and carers for their support and help in this amazing achievement and we will continue our journey to develop and aspire to becoming an ‘Outstanding’ school.

All the school times and term dates for 2018 – 2019 are available on our website www.sfit.org.uk.

We would like to kindly remind parents of the uniform Policy; please find attached required uniform information.

As always, it has been a real pleasure in being part of our students learning; academically and therapeutically, and I am sure you will join me in thanking the staff for all their hard work and dedication.

We would like to wish you a very happy, fun and safe Easter and a wonderful break. The first day back of the Summer term is Tuesday 17 April 2018.

Yours sincerely

Mark Escott
